BUTTE, Mont. - The Montana High Tech Business Alliance has named Foothold as one of six Montana Startups to Watch in 2022. This annual list recognizes early stage high-tech and manufacturing companies with high potential to grow, create jobs in Montana, and impact the state’s economy. Since 2017, the Montana High Tech Business Alliance has published five years of annual Montana Tech Companies to Watch lists covering 100 businesses.
Foothold is honored to have been recognized as an early stage manufacturing company with high potential to grow, create jobs in Montana, and impact the state’s economy. The selected Startups to Watch in Montana are tackling some of the most pressing challenges of our time. Montana-based resources have been central to the Foothold's success – from technological expertise at Montana State University, to the local talent pool, to capital raised from Montana investors.
Foothold was selected by The Montana High Tech Business Alliance as a severe shortage of affordable housing has become a central issue for Montana.
"We are so honored to have been selected among some other industry-leading startups in Montana, including some operating out of the Montana Connections Park, right next door to our factory. It reinforces what a great ecosystem of startup support we have in Butte and Silver Bow County," says Foothold CEO Hannah Van Wetter.
